Jake Torchin is an editor based in Los Angeles, CA.
He began his career cutting music videos for a wide range of artists, including George Harrison, Kendrick Lamar, Drake, Doja Cat, Jack Harlow and more.
His work on documentary features and series has earned Emmy and NAACP Image Award nominations, including “The Fresh Prince of Bel-Air Reunion” (Max), “Model America” (Peacock), “The Therapist” (Viceland), and “Jelly Roll: Save Me” (Hulu).
His first scripted feature, “Little Death”, is produced by Darren Aronofsky and directed by longtime collaborator Jack Begert. It stars David Schwimmer, Jena Malone, Gaby Hoffmann, Talia Ryder, and Dominic Fike, and premiered at the Sundance Film Festival in 2024, where it received the NEXT Innovator Award.
Jake is a member of the Motion Picture Editors Guild (IATSE Local 700).
